Meet Angie

She a lover of children, and loves to write children’s books. As a child, Angie used her vivid imagination to develop stories for her dolls, dogs, and eventually, wild tales for children.

She suffered complex trauma during childhood, and had no concept of healthy emotional expression. This inspired her to write books to help children find their voice. Her stories are born from real children with a sprinkle of her imagination.

Angie has a love for God, her family, and her country. She is married to her high school sweetheart, and they reside in the lovely state of Tennessee. They have four amazing children, two by birth and two by marriage. She is also a proud Gigi to four beautiful grandchildren who will be the main characters of the first four books of the series.

Interesting facts about me

  • As a child, I was the happiest when I was outdoors running barefoot, riding my bike with 5 dogs following me, or laying in the grass at night gazing at the moon and stars while howling to get the neighborhood dogs barking. To this day, the great outdoors is still my happy place. I love to swing in silence on the porch, take long walks on the beach or to travel throughout our beautiful nation enjoying God's handiwork. I also love all things "fall"...colorful leaves, cozy throws, candles, hoodies, leggings, hot coffee or tea and pumpkin everything.

  • When I was a child my grandmother (aka Nanny) would take me to yard sales to find bargains. I used to look forward to those fun Saturdays digging through other peoples junk hoping to find a treasure.

Today, I LOVE to go to thrift stores and I thrift a lot. I may not be from a royal family, but “thrift queen” sounds better than “thrift freak”. LOL. I can find a thrift store in every state or country that we are in. It’s an adventure that sometimes feels like a scavenger hunt. From shoes, to handbags, to clothes, to home decor, this gal has a knack for finding lovely treasures of great value at unbeatable prices.

  • When I was a little girl, my grandparent’s “pump house” was our playhouse. My cousin and I cooked french fries in an old electric skillet and thought they were the best. I’ve graduated to a cast iron skillet and love developing healthy, delicious recipes that are beautifully plated and make my family drool.
